All K-5 students will take multiple reading assessments throughout the school year. These assessments are benchmark assessments meaning teachers will use the results to determine instructional needs and specifically needed interventions. You will find a list of these assessments below followed by a brief description of each one.
Acadience Reading
Will be administered to all K-5 students in September, January, and May. This assessment tests reading fluency.
Acadience Math
Will be administered to all K-5 students in September, January, and May. This assessment tests math fluency and computation.
Core Phonics & Comprehension Assessment (
Will be administered to grades 1 and 2 students in September, January, and May. This assessment tests students' decoding abilities within each phonics pattern and reading comprehension.
CDT (Classroom Diagnostic Tools)
Will be administered to grade 3, 4, and 5 students in September and January. This assessment tests reading comprehension and answering an open ended questions, including a Text-Dependent Analysis in grades 4 & 5.
Spring Math
A screener will be administered to students in grade K-5 in September, January, and May to determine fluency practice in the area of math.
