This is a FAMILY event.  No students will be permitted to enter without a grown-up family member.

 Buck a Book

• Buck a Book is a fundraising opportunity that supports the Employment Skills Center in Carlisle, PA.  This center supports Carlisle families with adult literacy courses and assistance in getting hired for a job.
• There are two components of Buck a Book - the fundraising campaign & the Wordy Worm Essay Contest.
• Wordy Worm Essay forms came home already and are due back to the Hamilton office by 12/4.
• Buck a Book fundraising informaiton will be coming home on 1/10/25.  Students will get people to sponsor them reading books.  All they need to do is read books in order to raise money.
• All fundraising forms and money is due to the Hamilton office by 1/29/25.

Attendance

• Please send excuses for your child’s absence to school within in three days of an absence.  You may send in a paper copy or email our secretary, Mrs. Larouche, at [email protected]
• If you are planning a vacation or other school absence, please be sure to request a prearranged absence form.  These should be turned into he office for approval before your child’s absence.

Arrival & Dismissal:

• Arrival begins at 8:20am.  Students may not be dropped off until then. 
• The tardy bell is 8:35am.  Any students arriving after that time will be marked tardy.
• Please drop students off in the car line through our parking lot, not the bus loop.
• Dismissal begins at 3:20pm. 
• Please communicate with your child’s teacher about their dismissal plan.
• All students picked up by car must have a car tag.  Please stop by the front office between 9:30am-2pm in order to pick up a car tag if you were not able to at Back to School Open House.  Students without a car tag will not be dismissed via the car lane.
• You may not exit your vehicle in the car drop off or pick up lane.  Your child needs to be able to buckle themselves.
• We will not change a child’s dismissal plan unless we hear from a parent or guardian.  Please call the school or contact your child’s teacher if their dismissal plan is changing before 2:30pm.
• If you are planning for your child to be picked up early, please arrive before 3:10pm.  No students will be dismissed early after that time.
• At the start of the school year, arrival and dismissal will take longer than usual.  Please be patient as we all learn new routines and procedures to keep all students and families safe.
• Kindergarten will be on a staggered start schedule for 8/20-8/22.  All kindergarten students will attend school one of these days from 9:00am-2:00pm.  Transportation is not provided.
