Principal's Message

 

Hamilton Families,

Welcome back to school.  I hope the students had wonderful summer.  We are looking forward to the start of another great year at Hamilton Elementary.  Below are a few notes to keep you informed as we begin this school year.     

1.       Class assignments will be emailed home on Friday, August 9th.  Supply lists can be found on Hamilton’s website under “our school” then “supply lists”.    http://hamilton.carlisleschools.org

2.       Back- To -School Night is being held on Wednesday, August 14th from 4:30-6:30 PM.  Hamilton’s Back-To-School Night will be the same format as last year.  We will host an open house in partnership with the Carlisle United Way.  Parents and students will have the opportunity to visit their classroom, talk with their teachers, visit various community booths, play games and enjoy a meal.  This is great way to meet the PTO officers and get involved with the school.

3.       New Student Orientation is being held on Monday, August 12th from 5:30-6:30 PM.  This event is for students and families new to Hamilton Elementary.  The evening will begin with a presentation in the multipurpose room.  During this presentation parents will hear about Hamilton’s procedures and have an opportunity to ask questions prior to the first day of school.  Students and families will have an opportunity to walk through the school and find their classroom.

4.       Just a reminder, our students first day is Monday, August 19th.  Doors open at 8:20 AM.  Students walking to school enter through the front lobby, students being dropped off by vehicle enter through the side lobby.  No traffic will be allowed in the bus loop or front parking lot until after 8:45 AM.   Students must be in their classrooms prior to 8:40 or they are considered tardy.  Dismissal is at 3:20 PM.  Bus riders/car riders dismiss first; once buses clear the front of the building students walking home will be dismissed.  Students riding buses or walking home dismiss out the front lobby.  Students being picked up by a parent dismiss out the side lobby.  Staff will not allow students to exit the side lobby doors unless a parent is standing there to help walk the student/s through the parking lot and traffic areas.

5.       Please remember to complete Infosnap and free/reduce lunch applications.  These forms need to be completed at the beginning of each new school year.  Having all of this completed prior to the start of the students first day greatly helps school staff and ensures we can contact you if needed. 

6.       If a parent needs to enter the building at any time during the day, to include arrival and dismissal, they must enter through the front doors into the office checking in with Ms. Fischbach.  Parents may not walk through the school without first reporting to the office, following our security procedures, which include scanning their state issued ID and getting a visitor’s pass.  This is for the safety and security of students and staff.  Starting at 3:15PM parents will not be allowed to enter the school until all the students have been dismissed.
